Essential Driver Training (EDT) is a mandatory training course that instructs elementary driving skills to learner car drivers. Learners have got to complete 12 1 hour lessons before applying for their driving test. The R.S.A. (Road Safety Authority) highly suggests that EDT Lessons 1-12 should be spread out over the first 6 months of the new learner permit.
